King’s Way Counseling Update

King’s Way Counseling Update

The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) will be administered to all members of the freshman, sophomore and junior classes on the morning of Wednesday, October 16th.    Public school students generally take this exam on the following Saturday morning.  King’s Way offers this service to our students on Wednesday at no extra cost.  Parents of 9th, 10th or 11th grade students who would prefer that their student NOT take the exam should also contact the high school office.

Parents of juniors and seniors are encouraged to discuss post-graduate plans and the college application process with their students.  Juniors should be scheduling standardized testing exams (ACT and SAT) for later in the year.  Seniors should be filling out college applications  and considering options for after graduation in June.

For information about our concurrent credits offered through Warner Pacific College, taking AP exams, and college planning, please reference the materials on this site.

Please feel free to contact the high school office for questions regarding counseling, schedules and post-graduate planning.

The first day of King’s Way Christian High School was in a single room above the elementary school.  The room was stuffy, as the windows did not open.  Storage was sparse and backpacks lined the wall as the back of the room that would serve as school all-day, everyday for our first eleven freshmen.  Appropriately enough, the first class ever taught was a Bible class.

Over eight years later, KWCHS has grown to roughly to 175 students who fill our wonderful facility.  As we prepare to graduate our sixth class this June, no longer can we focus on just the next semester or next academic year.  We need to look “big picture,” to help our students plan beyond high school, for continued learning, for the workforce, for whatever God’s plan might be for them.

To that end, we have organized a renewed focus on post-graduate planning.  That is largely the purpose of this website.  We hope it will provide students and families a “jumping off” point in their search for the next step beyond King’s Way.  Please take some time to peruse the resources compiled here.  Maybe they will raise some questions for you with which we can help you.
